New Arrivals at We Goat This!
We're thrilled to share some wonderful news from the farm — our purebred Great Pyrenees Livestock Guardian Dog (LGD) puppies have arrived at We Goat This! On February 17, 2026, Holly and Bandit, our Great Pyrenees LGDs, welcomed nine healthy puppies into the world.
This beautiful litter includes 5 boys and 4 girls, all strong, thriving, and already showing the calm confidence and gentle nature the Great Pyrenees breed is known for. These puppies are being raised right here at We Goat This in a true working farm environment.
From day one, the pups are growing up alongside our Oberhasli dairy goats and will also be exposed to chickens, giving them early, appropriate experience with multiple types of livestock. They are surrounded by daily farm activity, people, and animals, helping them develop confidence and the natural instincts expected of a livestock guardian dog.
Holly and Bandit are steady, reliable guardians with strong natural instincts and gentle, social personalities. This is their first litter, and they've taken to parenthood with calm confidence and attentive care. Despite their serious working role, they're incredibly affectionate with people and are often found nudging each other out of the way for attention and scratches. Their easygoing temperaments and natural guarding ability are qualities we're already seeing reflected in their puppies.
Great Pyrenees LGDs are valued for their loyalty, intelligence, and dedication to protecting livestock while remaining calm and trustworthy companions. With this strong foundation, these puppies are off to a wonderful start.
Our puppies will be ready for their new working homes in mid-April, once they are fully weaned and have had time to grow and gain confidence.
Thank you for celebrating this exciting milestone with us at We Goat This — we can't wait to watch these little guardians grow!
